- ongoing engagements with leading IT services companies
- active partnerships with the top universities
- unique training market intelligence
- access to trainers and training centers
- coordination and monitoring capacity
BIMT strives to promote higher standards
of education in Bulgaria with the objective to:
- Bridge the gap between industry qualification needs and
presently available education
- Address the alarmingly rising discrepancy of specialists
supply and ICT industry rapid growth demand (especially
for ongoing large scale investment by IT service companies:
000s of jobs)
- Address the lack of structural approach to training outside
universities
- Ensure no pressure on the ICT market (small innovative
firms vs big players) and a win-win structured approach
to development of human capital according to the needs
To fulfill its objectives, BIMT
offers:
- Knowledge of the ICT market and its trends for development
- Assessment of the ICT labor market (demand, availability
and quality of labor pool)
- Established collaboration with leading academic and non-academic
educational vendors, data base of and partnership with qualified
professors and trainers
- Knowledge of opportunities and specific processes involved
in new curricula development and introduction
- Project management of specific training needs, assessment
of qualified training institutions, coordination and monitoring
the training process
BIMT is established to fulfil one
of the ground tracks of the ICT National Competitiveness Strategy
(Strategy and Action Plan for Bulgarian Competitiveness in Global
ICT Markets) developed by the Bulgarian ICT Cluster and accepted
by the Council of Ministers in October, 2004: Track 4. Improving
